The saddest part of my 25 day hiatus occurred this past Saturday. After getting home from a four-day trip to my in-laws’ house, Josh and I had to make the decision to put our youngest cat, Merton, to sleep. The short story is that he had a blockage in his urinary tract and we simply couldn’t afford the surgery. The long story is filled with immense guilt and an abundance of tears over losing one of my beloved fur-babies. I’m just not ready to relive it detail by detail. Instead, I leave you with a few photos of the little (big!) guy:
