I'm a huge fantasy buff (Lloyd Alexander, Terry Brooks, Michael A Stackpole, E. Nesbit ... doesn't really matter what age range, as long as it's well-written!), but lately I've been loving Miss Read's Fairacre and Thrush Green Chronicles. They're perfect to curl up with on a cold winter day! Of course, I needed it to use to the internet, so I had added incentive ... but I probably would have gotten it that quickly anyway. I usually get out about 8-10 books a week. That either makes me pathetic or awesome, I'm not sure which! I read mostly fiction, though, so I can't recommend any good parenting books. Especially since most of them (unintentionally) make me laugh. I've realized I'm more of a trial-and-error kind of mom, not a by-the-book mom. The few times I try going by a book, it just doesn't work. My child is just too stubbornly different! I think I got my library card within a week of moving!
