• Reading Material

Tonight Josh picked up Naturally Healthy Babies and Children for me from the library. It’s the first of the four books I have reserved to come in. I dove right in as soon as I had it between my hands. And now I’ve stopped reading, momentarily, to write.

The past two days have been great for Jude and I. Yesterday we got together with friends for coffee (for me) and a croissant (for Jude…and me) and then headed over to the Uptown branch of the Chicago Public Library for story time. Afterward we ate lunch and napped, had dinner and played with a friend who popped over to say hi. Today we went to a friend’s house for a playdate, took a nap, read lots of books, and ate dinner. It has been a very fulfilling 48 hours.

The rest of the week is looking promising, as well. The temperature is supposed to get up to the mid-40s this weekend before it crashes back down to the 20s later next week. Josh is planning to take a half-day on Friday, and Jude and I have (at least) one playdate or activity planned per day through Saturday. I’m looking forward to this week’s “Friday Firsts” post and also to posting a new list of links for you to check out on Sunday via my Sunday Drive post. Stay tuned!
