I hate eating pasta with sauce from a jar. However, being that I can’t stand long enough to make my own sauce, that is what the Frank family has been reduced to for the time being. Josh is picking up the slack tonight. He’s on his way to the store to pick up ingredients for tonight’s dinner and some supplies for a few quick meals this week. This is what’s in store:
Breakfast
Oatmeal with Ground Flaxseed, Raw Honey, Raisins, and Cinnamon and/or Cottage Cheese/Greek Yogurt and Fruit
Lunch/Dinner
Pasta with (Jarred) Vodka Sauce (*hangs head in shame)
Stir-fry and Salad
ALTs and Salad and Homemade Hummus
Fajitas and Lime Rice Salad
Minestrone Soup and Homemade Bread
Grilled Cheese and Minestrone Soup
Homemade Pizza
Snacks
Green smoothies!

30 Lashes, Miss! LOL. Seriously, don’t be too hard on yourself about the jarred sauce. Look at the fact that I use a pre-made pizza shell… quite often. We all have been there, done that. Anyway sometimes those sauces can be doctored up to taste pretty darn close to homemade. SO… hold your head high! It was a Vodka Sauce at that too – Good choice! The Lime Rice Salad sounds so good… will definitely make something like that to go with our next Tex-Mex themed meal. So, funny, did you know it’s National Grilled Cheese Month – my friend Rachel at Southern Fairy Tale told me that – and grilled cheese is on the plan for this week for us too? Thanks for joining in again at the Chive Talkin Menu Plan Blog Roll. Please play again next week. Cheers! Jenna
I AM HANGING MY HEAD IN SHAME FOR YOU.
Mmm, Jenna, grilled cheese month!!!
Glad you like the recipe! You inspired me to make it again this weekend and take a better picture. (for that one I was running out the door to the potluck!)
Also fyi, my puttanesca sauce (another horrible pic that needs a do-over) takes less time than the pasta takes to boil. It is soooo good and super easy!
