Back to the Grind
Yesterday, after nearly two weeks off, Josh went back to work and left Jude and I to figure out how to deal with one another one-on-one again. Also, Jude has a cold. Yesterday wasn’t pleasant, in case you were wondering.
The past two weeks have been really nice. Josh and Jude have gotten to spend some Papa/son time together, and I’ve gotten a bit of a break. We spent a few mornings at the beach–Josh and Jude playing in the lake (craziness. the lake is COLD), me lounging on the beach. We went to the zoo and the aquarium and played at a few different playgrounds. We’ve had long, full days. I’m back up to (at least) four cups of coffee a day. I’ve also gotten back into the habit of napping when Jude naps, hence the lack of updates as of late.
Jude really enjoyed having Josh around. He (for the first time, I think) cried when Josh said he had to go to work yesterday morning. I don’t know how much of it had to do with him not feeling well and how much had to do with him being really sad that Josh was going to be gone all day, but it was sad and sweet to witness.
There’s not much else new to report (not that I can recall at the moment, at least). I’m working on posting a picture of the Father’s Day gift Jude made for Josh. Jude had a great time making it, and it came out really, really well. Other than that, I’m going to try and get back into the swing of posting regularly. I make no promises, however. Sometimes living life is more important than writing about it.

TOTALLY agree.
Right on. Living life is where the best material comes from, anyway.
