Last week I learned that finger painting should not be executed on granite/marble. It is, however, tons of fun to do on butcher paper or in the bathtub.

Today I learned that biking is *expensive*. We purchased a child seat and helmet for Jude, helmets for Josh and me, and new tires and a new lock for Josh. I’m too embarrassed to publish the total amount we spent.

Next week I anticipate learning how to stretch our food budget and just how hard it is to bike seven miles with a 30-pound toddler at my back. Also, what exhaustion *really* feels like.
