• Bibs

Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of bibs (those farmer-type jeans. You know what I’m talking about?). On other kids, I think they can look really cute, but they’re not something I would choose to dress Jude in. He had a pair that he wore once or twice when he was three or four months old, but he hasn’t worn any since.

Our friends Scott and Demery regularly gift up oodles and oodles of hand-me-down clothes from their three boys (who are, I believe, 9, 7, and 4 years old-there abouts, at least). A few weeks ago, as I was going through the bin of size 3T clothing I have from them, I came a cross a pair of bibs from Old Navy that were lined with super soft blue fleece. Also, they were new with tags. Craziness.

This morning, after a good ten minutes of crying to go to the park, I submitted to my willful son. I only resisted because, WOW! It’s cold out there! Cold and windy. In other words, it’s fall in Chicago.

So, after realized that I would, in fact, be taking my sweet boy out into fairly cool weather, I dashed into his room and grabbed this super cool bibs, knowing that they would keep his sweet little body warm. In addition to the bibs, I dressed him in a thermal night shirt, a long-sleeved shirt, a pair of Baby Legs, and a pair of socks. Also, a pull-over fleece and a warm hat. He looked adorable, and stayed nice and toasty while we played outside.

So, again I say, for all the interwebz to hear, Thanks, Scott and Dem! We really appreciate all you do for us. (Also, we miss you!)

I’ve got one (probably really low-quality) on my phone. Hopefully Josh will be able to get it uploaded for me later today.

Hope First Friday goes well tonight, Jen!

You are VERY welcome! Would love to see a pic. I think those bibs were a Christmas gift for Luke one year but he didn’t grow into them until warm weather. So glad you guys can use them. It is wonderful to see Jude in clothes our little guys were in – many of which were also handed down to us from bigger boys :) – it always brings back happy memories. Hugs to all 3 of you.
