A List as Long as My…

Have I mentioned that my mother and grandfather are coming to visit from Pennsylvania on Friday? Did I mention that my mother-in-law and father-in-law are also coming to visit this weekend? No? I left that part out? Sorry.

There is T minus four days until my family gets here and T minus five days until my in-laws get here. My house is a wreck. My To-Do List is as long as my arm. I have to organize, clean, deep clean… in other words, get the house “company ready.” Also, I need to buy birthday party decorations and gift bag goodies. I have no clue how I’m going to accomplish all I need to, but I’m going to give it my all.

So, since I don’t have much time for the writing right now, I’ll leave you with this picture of my super hero, birthday boy:

Good Luck Jillian!!! The thing that kills me is that you do all that cleaning for the party and then you’ve got to clean up yet again when the party is over….enjoy your visitors!!

I say skip the gift bag goodies! Who needs ‘em? Honestly, I think decorations are highly overrated too (not to mention they’re usually not very environmentally friendly).

I say have a green party. Let the running, jumping, bouncing kids be the decorations. Parents usually end up throwing away gift bag goodies after tripping over them for a week or two. Jude won’t care as long as he’s got friends and family and some sort of cake-type product.

You can do it! Just put on that awesome mask that Jude is wearing!

Melissa-you’re so right. I hate cleaning for parties just to have to clean up after the party. This time though, I’m cleaning more for the fact that there’s going to be a bunch of family at my house, and I don’t want them to see the clutter we usually live in.

Atena-You think? I feel kinda bad not having anything for the kiddos to take home. I’ll give it some thought. Thanks!
